Bahnhofsmission

The Bahnhofsmission is a church-based, non-profit, charitable organisation operating at 100 railway stations across Germany.

A person on the platform wears a vest with the logo of Bahnhofsmission on the back.

The station mission offers a range of services, comprising two central components:

Firstly, it offers travellers a wide range of support and places to stay when changing trains. It assists travellers with limited mobility with boarding and changing trains, provides accompaniment on long-distance journeys, answers questions and helps with station orientation, and serves as a retreat for travellers, such as families with children, or simply as a quiet space when changing trains.

The station mission also provides initial and emergency support for people experiencing social difficulties, offering counselling sessions to refer them to the local support network.

The website bahnhofsmisson.de provides an overview of all station missions in Germany, including their services and opening hours. On-site, signage featuring the iconic station mission logo will direct you to its premises.
