Bahnhofsmission
Copy link to this sectionAs a non-profit organisation, the Station Mission provides assistance and information to travellers at 100 railway stations across Germany. For example, travellers can receive help with finding their way around the station and boarding the train. Travellers with limited mobility can also request to be accompanied by a member of station mission staff on their journey. The website bahnhofsmission.de provides information on the services offered and the opening hours of each location.
Parking
Copy link to this sectionParking facilities for your car are available at many train stations from various providers. People with a physical disability – or their companions – may park a car free of charge for up to 24 hours at unrestricted parking facilities operated by DB BahnPark GmbH. The prerequisite for this is the blue or orange special parking permit valid throughout Europe ("parking permit for disabled persons’). In the German state of Bavaria, the dark blue official parking permit is also recognized. The authorized person does not have to drive the car himself, but must be personally transported in the vehicle. Please place your special parking permit in a clearly visible position behind the windshield of your car instead of a parking ticket.
