You can easily reach Frankfurt Airport from Frankfurt Central Station by S-Bahn. The S-Bahn lines S8 and S9 take approximately 12 minutes to reach the airport regional station. On average, an S-Bahn departs every 10 minutes from platform 103 or 104 at the main station in the direction of the airport.

  • To travel to Frankfurt (Main) Airport Regional Train Station, please take the underground S-Bahn lines S8 or S9 towards Wiesbaden Central Station.
  • All S-Bahn trains depart from the underground platforms at Central Station on tracks 101-104
  • At the main station, follow the signs for “S” (white S in a green circle) towards the S-Bahn/underground platform; use the escalators, stairs, or elevators to go down.
  • S-Bahn trains towards Wiesbaden via Frankfurt Airport depart from tracks 103 or 104.
  • You will reach the airport in about 12 minutes with three stops; departures are approximately every 10 minutes. Please get off at the regional train station.

The airport has two stations: the regional airport station (S-Bahn, local transport) and the long-distance airport station (ICE/IC transport). Regional trains and long-distance trains, which run above ground from the long-distance tracks at Frankfurt Central Station to the airport, supplement the S-Bahn service.
