As part of a major upgrade, 114 information screens have been installed around and inside the station to help passengers and visitors find their way around. Thanks to their size and high resolution, the screens are easy to read – ensuring that nothing stands in the way of a pleasant visit to the station or a relaxed onward journey.

Travellers and visitors can find information right here in the reception hall.

At Nürnberg Hbf, there have been a number of changes, at least in the technical sphere. Thanks to 114 new information screens, passengers and visitors on site can now find out about their journeys or train connections even more quickly. The replacement of the screens is part of a major project involving the installation of more than 7,000 modern screens and terminals across Germany.

The modern monitors can be found in all pedestrian underpasses at the station, the station building, the access points to the platforms and on the platforms themselves. With their large size (including 200-inch screens at the platform access points), they are classified as ultra-wide yet remain energy-efficient. However, this environmental aspect does not compromise readability; even in poor lighting conditions, optimal resolution and brightness ensure a clear overview. This means that passengers and visitors can always find detailed information on departing trains and line numbers, real-time carriage order and the new departure alert.
