Visitors immersed in vibrant light for peace at the railway station. „Peaceful Colors“ – an art installation by Wuppertal light artist Gregor Eisenmann.
At night, the station looks from the outside like a brightly illuminated palace of colors.
Under the motto “Celebrating Diversity, Moving People” artist Gregor Eisenmann transforms Münster (Westf) Central Station into a cathedral of light. “During the day, the entire interior is flooded with colorful light. Travelers are virtually bathing in a sea of colors. At night, the effect is reversed: while the station hall remains normally illuminated inside, from the outside it appears as a brightly glowing, colorful palace,” says Eisenmann.
The project highlights the diversity of the people living in Germany while also promoting peaceful coexistence in our world.
Serving as a gateway to the city and into the world, the artwork is inaugurated during NRW Day in Münster from 28 to 30 August 2026. Initiated by the shops located within the station, the installation will welcome visitors and travelers until mid-November.
