The train station in Bodenfelde will soon shine in new glory. On 1 February 2024, the barrier-free modernization of the station begins as part of the "Niedersachsen ist am Zug! III" program. The modernization work is expected to last until autumn 2025.

The central element of the construction work at the station is the addition of a new barrier-free underpass, including a new stairway and two new elevators. In addition, the height of the platforms will be increased and the platform length shortened to enable passengers to board and exit trains without having to take steps. As part of the modernization work, an energy-saving lighting system will also be installed alongside new weather shelters. A guidance system for passengers and guests with visual impairments and a new passenger information system round off the modernization package.

Restrictions at the station are to be expected during the construction work. Due to the reconstruction work, there will be temporary track changes and adjustments to the routing. We ask for your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
