We are a family business with a real passion for good bread. We have been baking according to traditional craftsmanship for generations - with patience, dedication and the knowledge that good bread takes time. Our breads are made with long doughs and starter doughs that are left to mature for hours in the kettle, allowing them to develop their full flavor.
This care makes the difference to industrial products. With us, you get more than just a staple food: you get real taste, naturalness and freshness. We only use selected raw materials and ingredients from the region.
Our history goes back to 1925, when our great-grandfather laid the foundation stone for the Heidebäckerei. Herbert Meyer, our bread sommelier, ran the family business with passion for many decades before passing the baton on to the next generation. Today, his son Marcell continues the tradition - with new ideas, but always in harmony with the craft.
