Our new 1. FC Köln fan shop at Cologne Central Station features a modern stadium-inspired design. However, this is not a traditional brick-and-mortar store, but rather a modern, brand-aligned shop with a strong digital focus that fits perfectly into the club’s omnichannel strategy. The shop is modeled entirely after the interior of the RheinEnergieSTADION, features an interactive design, and is equipped with little extras for FC fans. You enter through two large stadium columns, and fan merchandise hangs over wooden benches, just like the players’ jerseys in the locker rooms. The counter is modeled after the stadium’s concrete look, and in a display window installation, three movable stadium seat shells rise and fall. The changing room for trying on the apparel is also designed to resemble a shower stall from the FC pros’ locker room; when you step inside, the FC anthem plays.
